 The WACTC Child Studies / Human Services program was d
eveloped for students that find joy in the excitement of early childhood. The WACTC Child Studies program develops the skills required to care for those unable to care for themselves. The challenging curriculum prepares for internships, entry-level employment and higher education opportunities in the fields of education and facility administration.

Qualified graduates will receive college credits.

1) The first set of branches is the Entry-Level Careers that students unlock by completing the Child Studies/Human Services program at WACTC. 

2) Students can unlock the next level, the Technical Careers, by pursuing additional education such as an associate’s degree, advanced certification, apprenticeship, or other specialized training.

3) They push their education even further with a bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D., or specialized training, they can unlock the Professional Careers.

How to Become a Preschool or Childcare Center Director

A bachelor’s degree and experience in early childhood education are typically required to become a preschool and childcare center director. However, educational requirements vary. Additionally, some employers require these directors to have a nationally recognized credential, such as the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
