programs feature hands-on, practical learning experiences, where you can practice the concepts and training you’ve picked up in class. As a student of construction technology, you’ll complete Work Based Learning experiences.
Qualified graduates will receive college credits.

1) The first set of branches is the Entry-Level Careers that students unlock by completing the Construction Technology program at WACTC.

What Carpenters Do

Carpenters construct, repair, and install building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials.

Work Environment

Carpenters work indoors and outdoors on many types of construction projects, from installing kitchen cabinets to building highways and bridges. Carpentry can be physically demanding, and injuries sometimes occur.

How to Become a Carpenter

Carpenters typically learn on the job and through apprenticeships.

The median annual wage for carpenters was $46,590 in May 2018.
